Installing on macOS X

To install TIBCO Messaging - Apache Kafka Distribution - Core on macOS, complete these steps.

Procedure

  1. Download the installation package.
    Download the package for either the community edition or the enterprise edition.
    Note: The release number of the TIBCO Messaging - Apache Kafka Distribution - Core reflects the Apache Kafka release upon which it is based.
    Edition Command
    Community Edition 
    TIB_msg-akd-core-ce_2.3.1_macosx_x86_64.pkg
    Enterprise Edition 
    TIB_msg-akd-core_2.3.1_macosx_x86_64.pkg
  2. Run the binary installers.
    Double-click the installation package icon.
    Follow the installation prompts to complete the process. Provide your password if requested.

Result

TIBCO Messaging - Apache Kafka Distribution - Core is installed in the following location: /opt/tibco/akd/core/2.3.1
