Procedure

  1. Verify that the appropriate versions of the TIBCO Apache Kafka Distribution and Python are installed.
  2. Download the installation package.
  3. Uncompress the TIB_msgmx_* file
  4. Install using the command applicable to your Linux platform variant.
    Linux Variant Command
    Red Hat 
    sudo yum install -q -y rpm/*.rpm > /dev/null 2>&1
    Debian 
    sudo dpkg -i deb/*.deb > /dev/null 2>&1
    SUSE 
    sudo zypper install rpm/*.rpm > /dev/null 2>&1

Result

MSGMX is installed in 
/opt/tibco/msgmx/1.0
The installation also creates a symbolic link to that directory from 
/opt/tibco/msgmx/current-version
