Access Rights

Access rights, which can be assigned at the user and user group level, govern who has access to objects in TIBCO Nimbus® , including diagrams, storyboards, scorecards, attachments, etc.

Default User Access Rights

Default access rights govern the access rights for all users in the system, and these can be set for a scope of diagrams. To restrict access to a diagram and all lower levels for a subset of users, for example, it is recommended to set the default access rights to Access Denied and then apply specific user access rights.

Specific User Access Rights

Specific access rights allow content to be restricted to specific users, overriding the default access settings.

Group Ordering

Groups can be reordered when defining specific user access rights, and this can affect users' access. Groups at the top of the list take precedence over other groups. Let's say we have a user that is a member of two user groups - Group A and Group B.

If the specific access rights were set as follows, the user will not have access to the diagram. Even though Group B has read/write access, Group A takes precedence.

However, if the groups were reordered (notice how Group B is the first in the list now), diagram access is provided to the user.
