Send Data Selection Events

Features created by the TIBCO OpenSpirit Scan Utility will have a field that contains an OpenSpirit datakey. The datakey identifies the database and data item that the feature was created from. Datakeys can be broadcast from ArcGIS Pro to other applications such as Schlumberger's Petrel application and TIBCO's Spotfire application. This is referred to as sending a data selection event. Any Applications that use OpenSpirit to listen for data selection events will receive the broadcast datakeys and will react. Receiving applications typically react by querying the database that the data items reside in and loading the selected data.

Data selection events are sent using the Send data selection event button in the OpenSpirit tool bar. A data selection event will be sent that contains the datakeys of all features that are selected in your map that have an OpenSpirit datakey field.

First use ArcGIS Pro's feature selection capability to select the features you want to send to another application.

 Then click on the Send Data Selection Event button to send the datakeys of the selected features.
