Using the Template Editor

To view the Template Editor, from the top-left corner, click the vertical ellipsis icon. On Template Editor, you can load your own template, edit it, and add custom fields.

Load Template Directory

You can load a local template directory and edit and run your own template. Edit as you required and save the template. Results of your changes directly appear on the right side of the screen.

Edit Template Form

You can edit, preview, and try out templates and template forms by loading a sample template or loading a template from a catalog. Results of your changes directly appear on the right side of the screen.

    Procedure
  1. To edit an existing template, click Edit Template Form.

  2. From the Load Existing Template dropdown, select a template. You see the yaml file of the template form and user interface. You can edit the template parameters and view how they render in the template form UI.

Custom Field Explorer

You can view and use already installed custom fields for template forms from Custom Field Explorer.

    Procedure
  1. Click Create and click the vertical ellipsis icon.

  2. From the Choose Custom Field Extension dropdown list, select a custom field. You can see the Field Options, Example Template Spec (YAML editor preview), and the custom field UI. These three field areas of the form change based on the custom field that you choose from the dropdown.
