Topics
The Topics tab provides the overview of the pending messages and the most active topics.
On the Topics tab, you can perform the following tasks:
Sorting Topics by Columns
You can sort topics by clicking the arrows on a column heading.
These columns are described in the following table:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Pending Messages | The total number of messages waiting to be delivered to consumers. |
| Pending Size | The total byte size of all pending messages. |
| Subscriptions | The total number of subscriptions to this topic. |
| Inbound Msgs/s | The number of inbound messages per second in the most recent rate interval. |
| Outbound Msgs/s | The number of outbound messages per second in the most recent rate interval. |
| Store | The name of the store the topic uses to persist messages. |
The default sort is by highest pending messages, so the topics with most messages appear at the top of the list.
Searching for Topics
You can use the Topic name or pattern field to search topics.
You can either search a specific topic or perform a wildcard search. Use Advanced Search to understand the wildcard search rules.

Viewing Topics Details
The list of topics are displayed on the Topics tab.
Use the dropdown icon 
to expand and view configuration details of the topic.
Viewing Topic Metrics

By clicking the topic name, you can go to the Topic metrics page that displays details specific to the topic you have selected rather than the whole system.

The Topic metrics page displays charts for Messages per Second, Pending Messages, and Pending Size in that specific topic.
