Configuring Proxy Server

You can use a proxy server to route your outbound requests through the proxy server. Using a proxy server helps you to increase security and privacy for your data. By default the proxy configuration is disabled. You can add, edit, or delete Proxy server configuration used by a data plane from the Proxy & Custom Certificate Secret tab on the Data plane Configuration page.

Before you begin
  • You must have Data plane manager permission to add, edit, or delete Proxy server configuration.

  • The tunnel must be in a connected state.

Adding Proxy Server

    Procedure
  1. On the data plane details page, click Data Plane configuration.

  2. Click the Proxy & Custom Certificate Secret tab.
  3. Click Configure Proxy.
  4. Specify HTTP_PROXY, HTTPS_PROXY, and optionally NO_PROXY fields.
  5. Click Configure.

You can view the Proxy configuration added.

Editing Proxy Server

    Procedure
  1. On the data plane details page, click Data Plane configuration.

  2. Click the Proxy & Custom Certificate Secret tab.
  3. To edit the proxy, click the Edit icon in the right corner.
  4. Update the fields and click Save.
  5. Copy or download the commands displayed on the screen. You must run these commands in your Kubernetes cluster to update the Proxy.

Deleting Proxy Server

    Procedure
  1. On the data plane details page, click Data Plane configuration.

  2. Click the Proxy & Custom Certificate Secret tab.
  3. To delete the proxy, click the Delete icon in the right corner.
  4. Copy or download the commands displayed on the screen. You must run these commands in your Kubernetes cluster to delete the proxy.
