Handling Existing Logging Policies

Some columns in Logging Policy database tables have been modified in ActiveMatrix Policy Director 1.0.1. If you have run the Logging Policy scripts to deploy Log Service and Payload Service in ActiveMatrix Policy Director 1.0, do one of the following before ActiveMatrix Policy Director 1.0.1 is started:

  • If you want to retain the logging data, run an ALTER TABLE command on your database. This updates the table, LOGGINGPOLICYPROPERTY, and sets the column, STRINGVALUE to a length of 4000 characters.
  • If you don’t need to retain the Logging Policy data, refer to the instructions in Erasing Logging Policy Data.
