Setting your Location in Spotfire Analytics for macOS

You can set your location in an analysis that has location properties built into it.

About this task

Perform this task in a Spotfire visualization from the Spotfire Analytics for macOS app.

Before you begin

In the Mac Settings app, under Security & Privacy, you must have enabled location services.
The Spotfire visualization must have location properties.

If the Spotfire visualization does not contain location properties, then the menu item is not displayed. If you have not enabled location services in the Mac Settings app, then the menu item is not available.

Procedure

From the menu, click Edit > Set Location.

The location properties are set to your current location. This can be as either latitude and longitude document properties, or a star or other marker on a map visualization.

Note: After you set the location, this menu item changes to Clear Location, which clears the location in the visualization or properties.
