Migration and Compatibility

Version 2.11.2 of Spotfire for Apple iOS is compatible with, and was tested with, the following configurations.

Installation requirements

Category Requirement
Operating system iOS 12 and iOS 13
TIBCO® Spotfire software Connection to a Spotfire® Web Player service, version 7.11.x, 10.3.x, or 10.5 or higher.
Note: There are no known restrictions on the type of connection (such as VPN) that is used. If the mobile device can connect to the Spotfire Web Player service from the Safari browser (over HTTP/S), the Spotfire for Apple iOS app also should be able to connect. Because the app connects using some dedicated web services, any security appliances or reverse proxies between the services must be configured properly to allow those requests and responses through.

Authentication options

The authentication for the Spotfire environment must be configured for one of the following authentication types.
For Spotfire Server 7.11 and later, use the one following.
  • Basic Database1
  • Basic LDAP2
  • Kerberos3
  • NTLM
