Azure Asset Manager Troubleshooting

If Engines are not launched in Azure, check the following items.

  • Check the deployment status in respective resource group. If it is failed, check for the failure reason and take the appropriate steps accordingly.
  • Check that the required Engine image VHD is in place.
  • Ensure the user has access to the specified image VHD.
  • There is a limitation on the Azure side that VMs can not be provisioned in different storage accounts than image VHD storage account. Make sure with custom images that the correct storage account details are provided.
  • Check that Asset Manager configuration values are correct.
  • Check that the maximum number of instances which can be launched have not crossed the limit for your subscription.
  • Sometimes the exceptions thrown from Azure are not clear enough to know the actual problem. In that case, check the deployment failure errors from the Azure portal.
