Limitations in Captured Analysis States

The analysis state captured in a comment only includes the state for the current marking, filtering, and document properties. It does not include any visualization properties such as what columns you have on an axis, or if the bars are vertical or horizontal, or any other property you can change in the properties dialog of the visualization. Moreover, it does not include changes in the underlying data.

The advantage of this approach is that comments do not lead to large changes in your analysis. You can therefore apply a comment, and from its included analysis state continue to analyze without having to fear unintended changes in the document. However, as a result of this approach, comments may quickly become outdated, if the analysis evolves.
