Creating a new user is only possible if the Spotfire Server is set up to use database authentication, that is, if the list of Spotfire users is residing on the server only. If the Spotfire Server is configured to connect to a company's Windows user directory, then creating and deleting users are handled in that context.
To create a new user:
Click the New User button.
Response: The New User dialog appears.
Enter a username.
Enter a password and confirm it.
Click OK.
Response: The new user appears in the list.
