Deleting an Item

To delete items from the library  you must have Browse + Access + Modify permissions for the folder they are placed in. If you want to delete a folder, you must have Browse + Access + Modify permissions for all subfolders in the underlying folder structure.

Note: To be able to delete, move, or edit an item from the library web view, you must also have the Spotfire Business Author > Spotfire Business Author license feature.

To delete items using the Library Administration tool:

  1. In the Library Administration tool, select the items and folders to delete by clicking on them. You can use Ctrl or Shift to multi-select.

  2. Click on the Delete button.

  3. When prompted, confirm that you want to delete the selected items by clicking OK.

  4. Comment: You can also right-click an item in the library tree and select Delete from the pop-up menu.

Tip:  You can also delete an item from the library by right-clicking it in the Files and data flyout and then selecting Delete from the menu that opens.

It is possible to have access to the Library Administration tool without being a member of the Library Administrator group. To get access to the Library Administration tool, the license called Spotfire Administrator, as well as the license feature called Library Administration below it, must be enabled.
