    OptionDescription
    Library item

The shape collection is saved to the Spotfire library.

It can be made available to a group of users who can use and pin this collection. If the collection is then edited or resaved to the Spotfire library, all instances of the collection are updated in all analyses where it is used.

    Personal collection

In the installed client, you can save the collection as a personal collection. A personal collection is stored in your Spotfire instance.

Note: When you share an analysis that contains a personal collection, only the shapes that were used in the analysis when it was last saved are available. Consider saving your collection as a library item if you want to make sure that the whole collection is available when the analysis is opened and that any changes made to the collection are updated everywhere it is used.
Tip: You can always later save a personal collection to the library. In the shape picker hover over the collection, click , and select Save to library.
