A map chart is normally built by several different layers. There are a number of different types of layers and each layer type can serve a different purpose in the map chart.

Add the relevant layers to your map chart and configure them to suit your needs. You can add a layer either by creating a new layer and configuring it from start, or you can reuse the settings from an existing layer by duplicating it.

Right-click the map chart visualization, and from the menu, select Properties.

In the Visualization properties panel, next to the map chart top-level name, click the plus sign and select the layer of choice to add.

In the installed client visualization properties dialog, go to the Layers page, and there click Add to specify a layer.
