In some versions of Spotfire, changes to functionality are introduced that not always fit with legacy documents that were created using earlier versions. You can then decide to use a legacy version of certain features in a document.

Option	Description
Enable 10.7 data limiting using markings	Enables the behavior of the limit data using markings feature as it was in Spotfire 10.7 and earlier versions (in these versions, it is not possible to, in most of the visualization types, view data limited by marking within the visualization itself).
Use serial data loading	Forces this specific analysis to load data from multiple data sources in a sequence after each other when the document is opened or reloaded. This is a compatibility setting for documents that expect the old behavior rather than the parallel loading on multiple threads that was introduced in version 11.4 and later.
