Data source properties
The following are the supported data source properties that you can configure when you create a data connection with the connector for Salesforce.

There are two authentication methods:

| Sandbox |
If you have a Salesforce sandbox that you want to create a
connection to, select this option.
Note: If you want to use Salesforce authentication in your
web browser to create a connection to a sandbox, you must select this check box
before you click
Log in with Salesforce.

Supported data types
When you are setting up a connection to an external data source, Spotfire needs to map the data types in the data source to data types in Spotfire. The following are the data types that the Salesforce connector supports.

Supported functions
Because only imported (in-memory) data is supported for Salesforce, you can use the functions available in the Spotfire in-memory data engine to work with your Salesforce data.
