Details on repair table in data connection

This dialog is used to repair a broken data table in a data connection to certain data sources.

A broken table is one where the original database table is not available in the external data source. This could be the case if the database table has a new name, or if you connect to a different database in the external data source. A broken table is highlighted in the Views in Connection dialog, and if a database table with the corresponding data exists in the database, you can repair the broken table by linking it to the new database table. If you right-click on the missing table and select Repair Table, this dialog is shown.

Note: When you work with connections to many data sources, you can repair a broken table directly in the Select data or Views in Connection dialog, without opening the Repair Table dialog.

Option Description
Data tables in database Click to select the data table in the database that should replace the broken data table. The list shows the database tables that are available in the database.
Note: If the database has a hierarchical structure, this will be reflected in the list by showing the table name preceded by the database schema it is included in.

Example: Sales.Customer

The table Customer resides in the database schema named Sales.

Include related data tables Also include all the database tables that have a relation to the selected table in the database.
