Pinning a shape collection to the shape picker
Shape collections that have been saved to the library can be pinned, which means they are added to the shape picker and their shapes can then be selected in future analyses.
Before you begin
Procedure
to open the menu, and
select
Pin.
The library icon
next to the shape
collection name is replaced by a pin icon
.
, and select
Unpin. To completely remove the shape
collection from the picker, select
Remove.
If the shape collection is not available in the shape picker, you
can click
and select
Find collections in the library.
A search is performed in the library to show all available shape collections that you can pin to the flyout (type:shapes). See also Opening a shape collection that is saved in the library.
Pinning shape collections to the shape picker using administrator preferences
As an administrator with access to the Administration Manager, you can pin shape collections to make them available by default for certain user groups.
Before you begin
Procedure
- As an administrator, follow the steps above to pin shape collections to the shape picker, so that the selection of shape collections is as you want it to be for the group.
- When you are satisfied, in the shape picker, click the menu at the top right of the picker and select Copy info about pinned shape collections to clipboard. This action copies the current layout of the shape picker to the clipboard in a format that is directly suited to be pasted into the preference as described in the next steps.
- In the installed client, click Tools > Administration manager and go to the Preferences tab.
- Select the group for which to change the preferences and, in the lower right part of the Administration Manager, click Edit.
- Expand Application, click ApplicationPreferences and, next to Pinned shape collections, paste the previously copied string.

- Click OK and Close the Administration Manager.
