BoxPlot preferences

Preferences that an administrator can specify for the box plot.

Preference Description
AlphaLevel Specifies the level at which the difference between groups would be significant. Enter a value between 0.0001 and 0.999.

The default is 0.05.

BoxWidth Specifies the default width of all boxes in pixels. Enter a value between 0 and 100.
Default Title Specifies the default title of new box plots. For example, Box Plot.
Font Lets you specify font settings for the text in the statistics table.
LegendVisible Specifies whether the legend should be shown when creating a new box plot.

Default is True.

MarkerSize Specifies the size of all outer values in pixels. Enter a value between 0 and 100.
Measures

Lets you specify which measures that should be shown in the Statistics table when you insert a new box plot.

Type the names of the desired measures (using the true function name, short form and no whitespaces) in the String Collection Editor and click OK.

For example:

Avg

StdDev

L95

MeanDeviation

Orientation

Specifies whether the box plot should be shown horizontally or vertically by default.

ReferencePoints

Lets you specify which reference points should be shown when you insert a new box plot.

In the BoxPlotPointPreference Collection Editor you can click Add and then modify the added reference point so that it is shown in a certain color, line style or marker shape. Here you also enter the method to use by typing the true function name (e.g., Avg or MeanDeviation).

Markers are always used to display abstractions of data ranges and lines are always used for real data points. Depending on which method you select, only one of the LineStyle or MarkerShape settings will be relevant.

Note: You must change the Visible setting to True for the reference point to be shown in the box plots.
Show95ConfidenceInterval Specifies whether to show the confidence interval in the box plot as a black line next to the box.
ShowComparisonCircles Specifies whether to show comparison circles in the box plot visualization.
ShowDistribution Specifies whether the distribution of values should be shown as a histogram.
ShowGridlines Specifies whether cell borders should be visible in the statistics table of the box plot.
SortByMeasure

Lets you specify a measure by which you wish to sort the rows in the statistics table. Type the true function name of the measure to sort by (short form, no whitespaces).

If you do not specify a sort order below, ascending sort order will be used.

SortOrder

Specifies whether to use Ascending or Descending sort order.

UseSeparateColorForMarkedItems Specifies whether the box plot should use a separate color for marked items or just dim the unmarked boxes.
