You can save a color scheme to share it with others or to use it
later, either within the same analysis or in other analyses.
About this task
Save the color
scheme locally or in the library if you want to use it in other analyses or
share it with others. Save it as a document color scheme to reuse it within the
current analysis. A document color scheme can be selected for a specific
visualization in the analysis from the Colors page of the visualization
properties. You can also select it as the default color scheme to use for a
specific column as well as for new visualizations in the analysis. See
Understanding properties in a Spotfire analysis
and
Options > Visualization to learn more
about using default color schemes.
Before you begin
You are working in the
installed client, and your analysis contains a visualization where you have
specified the coloring scheme you want to save.
Procedure
-
Open the
Visualization Properties dialog, and go to the
Colors page.
-
Open the
Color Schemes menu
.
-
Select
Save As, and then
Library Item,
File, or
Document Color Scheme, depending on where you
want to save the color scheme.
-
When saving to the library or as a file, specify a name and
location for the color scheme and click
Save. When saving as a document color scheme,
select
New color scheme and specify a name, or
Replace existing color scheme, then click
OK.
Tip: When saving to the library, you can add keywords
describing the color scheme. Other users can then browse color schemes using
keywords when opening from the library. Use semicolon as separator if you add
multiple keywords, for example, "corporate colors; categorical".
