Showing waterfall per category on the category axis
In a waterfall chart where a categorical coloring is applied, it is possible to change the waterfall mode to show one waterfall per category on the category axis.
Before you begin
Procedure
- In the visualization properties, go to the Appearance tab or page (or Layout in the web client).
- Under Show one waterfall, select Per value on category axis.
Example
The waterfall charts below show population changes over time where
each contributing category to the total is represented by a certain color. In
the waterfall chart to the left, all categories are factors in the same
waterfall. The waterfall chart to the right shows the same data split into
separate waterfalls, one per category on the category axis.
