Migration and compatibility

Version 1.2.2 of Spotfire for Android requires the following.

• Android version 4.4 or later with Google Play Services installed.
• A connection to TIBCO Spotfire® Server version 7.7 or later, or an account for TIBCO Cloud Spotfire.
  Note: The maximize visualization feature added in version 1.2.0 of the Spotfire® for Android app requires a connection to TIBCO Spotfire® Server version 7.12 or later.
  Note: There are no known restrictions on the type of connection (such as VPN). If the mobile device can connect to the server from a web browser (over HTTP or HTTPS), the Spotfire® for Android app should also be able to connect. Because the app connects using dedicated web services, any security appliances or reverse proxies between the app and the server must be configured properly to allow those requests and responses to work.
• Basic authentication (user name and password), NTLM authentication, or OAuth authentication to a Spotfire Server that uses that authentication type.
