Importing the .car file to TIBCO Data Virtualization

The .car files must be imported to the TIBCO® Data Virtualization for integration with TIBCO Data Science – Team Studio. This action has to be performed by the system administrator.

Before you begin

  • Download both the .car files (ts7integration-7.0.0.car and tdsts_6_6_1_2_setup.car). One of the .car file (ts7integration-7.0.0.car) can be downloaded from TIBCO eDelivery and the other file (tdsts_6_6_1_2_setup.car) from TIBCO Community.

    Note: To use the Database operators/Legacy Workflow engine, the .car file from TIBCO Community is required.

    The file is available under Release 1.2.0 > integration_mods_for_tds_and_tdv_1.2.0 > tdsts_6_6_1_2_setup.car.

  • Place the .car file in a location accessible to the computer where TIBCO Data Virtualization Studio is installed.

    Procedure

  1. Open TIBCO Data Virtualization Studio and log in as administrator (with the password created during installation), or log in as a user with administration rights.

  2. In the navigation tree, right-click the Shared folder, and then select Import.

  3. The Import into dialog appears. Perform the following steps:

    1. In the File column, click Browse and navigate to the location of the .car file.

    2. In the Password column, enter your TIBCO Data Virtualization password.

    3. In the Include Resource Information, select the Custom Jars and Data Source Connections checkboxes.

    4. Click Import.

  4. If the import is successful, the following status is displayed. Click OK.

  5. Repeat steps 3 to step 5 to import the second .car file. The imported files can be viewed under the Shared folder.
