The following procedure describes how to run a standalone JBoss EAP Server. In this configuration, Silver Fabric engines run individual self-contained servers that do not communicate with each other. On activation, the engine deploys archives contained in the component to the server.
Procedure
In the Silver Fabric Administration Tool, go to
Stacks > Components.
Select
Create New J2EE Component from the
Global Actions list.
If prompted, select the
JBoss EAP enabler and the desired
Enabler Version from the list.
Enter a component name in the
Name field. Also enter the optional description, if required.
Click
Next.
The
Configure Component Features screen is displayed.
HTTP Support, Archive Management, and Application Logging support, are added to the feature list by default. Make sure that the Clustering Support option is
NOT selected.
You can further customize component features as needed by selecting the feature and clicking
Edit. When finished, click
Next.
The
Configure Component Options screen is displayed.
Enter any desired options and click
Next until the Upload, remove, or reorder archive files page is displayed.
Click
Add and upload the J2EE archives that you want to deploy and run on the JBoss EAP server.
Configure the options on the remaining screens as needed. Additional options are also configurable through context variables.
Click
Finish.
Go to
Stacks > Components.
Select
Publish Component from the corresponding Actions list of the component you created.
Create a stack and add the published component to the stack as described in the
TIBCO Silver Fabric Cloud Administration Guide. Publish and activate the stack when required.
