Hardware and Software Requirements
Specific platform, software, and enough system memory and disk space are required by the installation. Review these requirements before you start the installation.
Disk Space Requirement
Before installing this product, extract the contents of the installation archive to a temporary directory. The installer files consume up to 1.5 GB of disk space.
The installer requires space in the temporary directory before installation, and additional space in the temporary directory for running the installer. Ensure that sufficient space is available in the directory that you want to use as the installation environment (TIBCO_HOME).
Temporary Disk Space Required by the Installer
The installer requires at least 2 GB of free space in the temporary directory. On Microsoft Windows, the temporary directory typically is: %SystemDrive%:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Local Settings\Temp.
If your system does not have sufficient disk space in the default temporary area, you can run the installer with a different temporary directory by using the following option when starting the installer:
-is:tempdir /new_temp
where /new_temp has sufficient free disk space.
The installer calculates the disk space required in the product home location for the selected components. The calculation is done before the actual installation (copying of files to the system) begins. The installer proceeds only if sufficient free disk space is available in the product home location.
However, if disk space is consumed by another process while the installer is copying the files, and if the required disk space is thereby reduced, the installer might fail and then give a failure message.
While performing installation, avoid running other processes that consume disk space in the product home location.

This product can consume 2 GB of free space under SFL_Enabler_HOME.

| TIBCO Silver® Fabric | Required. To use any TIBCO Silver Fabric Enabler, you must install TIBCO Silver Fabric and its latest patch. |
| TIBCO Enterprise Message Service™ (EMS) | Optional. Messaging between components can use TIBCO Enterprise Message Service(EMS). TIBCO EMS products can be installed separately or they can be installed using the Silver Fabric Enabler for TIBCO EMS.

| Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package | Optional. This is a Third-party Software.
It is required only if you want to create a TIBCO Silver Fabric Enabler for Adapter for
component. To use TIBCO Rendezvous on the Enabler domain, Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package must be installed on your Windows operating system.
Note: If Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package is not included in the Windows version listed in the
readme file for the supported platforms, versions, and required patches, it should be installed separately.
