Configuration of LiveView Desktop Components
Using the LiveView Desktop, you can view and analyze aggregated data from TIBCO Service Performance Manager via the LiveView server.
You can use LiveView Desktop to issue queries to the LiveView server, receive query results in a tabular or chart form, format data visualizations, and configure table actions.
When LiveView is integrated with TIBCO Service Performance Manager, the SPM Server does the real time data aggregation, and maintains it in dimension hierarchies. The Liveview environment is used only to visualize this aggregated data in the from of configurable dashboards using LiveView Desktop.
Latest copy of data in all TIBCO Service Performance Manager hierarchies is maintained in the LiveView server in the form of lvconf tables. These tables keep updating in real time as and when the SPM Server rolls up, and computes newly asserted facts into its dimension hierarchies. The base hierarchy tables are available by default when the LiveView Desktop loads up connecting to TIBCO StreamBase LiveView server.
