External
data type |
[Only available when multiple database types map to a single Spotfire type in the connector.] Allows you to specify the data type the parameter should correspond to in the external system. When the Spotfire data type can map to several different data types in the external system, you may improve the performance of the query by making sure the parameter is treated as a particular external data type rather than using the default type. The specification of the correct external type is even more important when working with prepared statements. |
