On this page, you find information about downloading and installing the drivers you need to be able connect to data sources with the connector for Apache Drill in Spotfire.
Preparations Before downloading and installing any driver software for use with this connector, read the system requirements for the connector for your version of Spotfire. Make sure that your database version and driver version is supported in your version of Spotfire. Remember that additional requirements and third party dependencies might apply for using the drivers. Refer to the official documentation from the driver vendor for more information. |

To connect to Apache Drill, you must install the MapR Drill ODBC Driver on your computer.
Downloading the MapR Drill ODBC Driver
The MapR Drill ODBC Driver is available on the the MapR downloads page.
Note: When you obtain third-party software or services, it is your responsibility to ensure you understand the license terms associated with such third-party software or services and comply with such terms.
Installing on Linux (Spotfire 12.0 and later)
After you have installed the MapR Drill ODBC driver on a Linux system, for use with an Automation Services or Web Player service, you must change the name of the driver in the file odbcinst.ini. The name must match the name that the driver gets when you install it on a Windows system.
After you have installed the
MapR Drill ODBC driver, open and edit the file odbcinst.ini.
Tip: The file is typically located at /etc/odbcinst.ini.
Locate the section for the MapR Drill ODBC driver, copy it, and create a duplicate of it.
Change the name of the duplicate
section.
