Spotfire has native support for a wide range of data source types. For connecting to the supported data sources, Spotfire uses self-service data connectors, each of which is designed and optimized specifically for loading data from its corresponding data sources.
All self-service data connectors are available in the Files and data flyout, under Connect to, where you can easily create new connections or open connections that have been saved in your Spotfire library.
Connecting to a supported data source with a connector
To connect to a natively supported data source, click Files and data.
In the Files and data flyout menu, click Connect to, and in the list of data sources, select the type data source you want to connect to.
In the connection flyout to the right, you can either create a new connection by clicking New connection, or you can open a saved connection from your Spotfire library.
Where do you store your data?
Can't find your data source in the list?
There might not be a dedicated Spotfire data connector with native support for the external data source you want to connect to. But you can probably connect to your data with one of Spotfire's other methods for loading data.
