Migrate from Spotfire for iPad 2.x

Changes to TIBCO Spotfire® for Apple iPad 2.5.2 and later require changes in the MyConfiguration.plist structure.

The user experience in Spotfire for Apple iPad 2.5.x and later is different in several ways from Spotfire for Apple iPad 2.x. In particular, the sidebar menu in Spotfire for Apple iPad 2.5.x has replaced the Explore and Analyze tabs from Spotfire for Apple iPad 2.x to switch between exploring libraries, favorites, recently viewed analyses, and the analysis view.

You can migrate your projects from Spotfire for Apple iPad 2.x.

  • Migrate APP_STARTUP_ACTION
    The key APP_STARTUP_ACTION has changed, so you must migrate the version you used in Spotfire Deployment Kit for Apple iPad 2.x to the newer version for Spotfire Deployment Kit for Apple iPad 2.5.x.
  • Migrate EXPLORE_TABS
    Changes to Spotfire for Apple iPad 2.5.2 required changes in the MyConfiguration.plist structure from earlier versions.
