Migrate from Spotfire for iPad 2.x

Changes to TIBCO Spotfire® for iPad 2.5.2 and later require changes in the MyConfiguration.plist structure.

The user experience in Spotfire for iPad 2.5.x and later is different in several ways from Spotfire for iPad 2.x. In particular, the sidebar menu in Spotfire for iPad 2.5.x has replaced the Explore and Analyze tabs from Spotfire for iPad 2.x to switch between exploring libraries, favorites, recently viewed analyses, and the analysis view.

You can migrate your projects from Spotfire for iPad 2.x.

  • Migrate APP_STARTUP_ACTION
    The key APP_STARTUP_ACTION has changed, so you must migrate the version you used in Spotfire Deployment Kit for iPad 2.x to the newer version for Spotfire Deployment Kit for iPad 2.5.x.
  • Migrate EXPLORE_TABS
    Changes to Spotfire for iPad 2.5.2 required changes in the MyConfiguration.plist structure from earlier versions.
