Migrate from Spotfire for iPad 2.x

Changes to TIBCO Spotfire® Analytics 2.5.2 and later require changes in the MyConfiguration.plist structure.

The user experience in Spotfire Analytics 2.5.x and later is different in several ways from Spotfire Analytics 2.x. In particular, the sidebar menu in Spotfire Analytics 2.5.x has replaced the Explore and Analyze tabs from Spotfire Analytics 2.x to switch between exploring libraries, favorites, recently viewed analyses, and the analysis view.

You can migrate your projects from Spotfire Analytics 2.x.

  • Migrate APP_STARTUP_ACTION
    The key APP_STARTUP_ACTION has changed, so you must migrate the version you used in Spotfire Deployment Kit for Apple iPad 2.x to the newer version for Spotfire Deployment Kit for Apple iPad 2.5.x.
  • Migrate EXPLORE_TABS
    Changes to Spotfire Analytics 2.5.2 required changes in the MyConfiguration.plist structure from earlier versions.
