You can copy a distribution from one deployment area to another when you are ready to move it from a test area to a production area, or if you want to create a new deployment based on an existing one.
Procedure

Log in to
Spotfire Server and click
Deployments & Packages.

Under
Deployment areas, select the deployment area that contains the distribution you want to copy.

In the Information pane to the right, click
Copy distribution.

In the "Copy distribution" dialog, do one of the following:
- Select the existing deployment area to which you want to add the distribution, and then click
Copy.
- Create a new deployment area to hold the distribution by clicking the
To new area tab, entering a name for the area, and clicking
Copy.
Results
When you select the deployment area in the "Deployment areas" pane, the copied software packages are displayed under
Software packages.
