Spotfire Server and Environment - Quick Start

Changing version history settings for a library item

You can enable or disable version history for a specific library item and control how many unnamed versions are kept.

About this task

The maximum number of versions applies only to unnamed versions. Named versions are not counted against the limit and are not automatically deleted when pruning is enabled.

Before you begin

Library versioning must be enabled by the administrator and you must have editing rights for the item.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Spotfire Server web administration pages and click Library.
  2. Browse or search for the item of interest.
  3. Open the details panel for the item.
  4. Click File properties.
  5. In the File properties dialog, select or clear Enable version history as needed.
  6. Under Maximum number of unnamed versions, choose one of the following options:
    • Use system default to inherit the server-wide limit specifed by the administrator.
    • Use custom value to specify a limit for this item only.
    • Keep all versions to prevent automatic pruning for this item.
  7. Click Save.
