Creating a JAAS application configuration for the Spotfire database connection pool

Follow these instructions to create a JAAS application configuration for the Spotfire database connection pool.

About this task

Acquire a Kerberos ticket in one of the following ways, and name the file "spotfire-database.login":
- By using a keytab file; see Acquiring a Kerberos ticket using a keytab file.
- By using a username and password; see Acquiring a Kerberos ticket using a username and password.
- By using the identity of the account running the Spotfire Server process; see Acquiring a Kerberos ticket by using the identity of the account running the Spotfire Server process.
In Spotfire Server, create the file <install directory>\tomcat\spotfire-config\spotfire-database.login (Windows) or <install directory>/tomcat/spotfire-config/spotfire-database.login (Linux) and populate it with the spotfire-database.login file.
