Upgrading nodes

To upgrade the nodes, deploy new node manager distributions to the server.

About this task

Depending on which nodes you have in your system, you can have new versions of the following distributions:
  • Spotfire.Dxp.NodeManagerLinux.sdn (the node manager distribution for use on Linux)
  • Spotfire.Dxp.NodeManagerWindows.sdn (the node manager distribution for use on Windows)

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Spotfire Server web administration pages and click Deployments & Packages.
  2. Add the node manager distribution to the desired deployment area on the server.
    For details on how to add a new distribution file, see Adding software packages to a deployment area.
  3. On the Nodes & Services page, click on the node manager to upgrade in the list to the left.
  4. Click Update.
  5. Repeat for all nodes in the system.
