Performing analysis by using PI Asset Framework Data Workspace node

The PI Asset Framework workspace node uses PI Assets Query spreadsheet as input and creates downstream document that contains PI point or Tag data in stacked format. It has been enhanced to accept multiple queries on multiple elements.

The PI Asset Framework Data workspace node can be accessed from the Feature Finder, the Ribbon Bar, or the Node browser.

A sample template for designing PI Asset Framework Data workspace node is also available. This can be accessed using the following path: Home > New > Workspace.

A valid PI point or Tag data can be obtained by using Asset Framework interactive module or workspace node.

Procedure

  1. Open Workspace. On PI tab, click PI Asset Framework Data. PI Asset Framework Data node is placed in the workspace.

  2. To open PI Asset Framework Data dialog box, double-click the PI Asset Framework Data workspace node.

  3. To open configuration screen for PI Asset Framework Data, in Specifications tab, click Edit Parameters.

  4. Select a server to connect to PI Server. The list of server connections is predefined or registered on the client machine. Click Connect.
  5. To connect to the PI Server, enter valid user credentials, click OK.
  6. To select the database from the list of databases for respective PI Server, click Asset Framework Database.
