Performing analysis by using PI Event Frames data Workspace node

The PI Event Frames data workspace node uses PI Events query spreadsheet as input (optional) and creates downstream document that has similar structure to PI Asset Query spreadsheet.

The PI Event Frames data workspace node can be accessed from the Feature Finder, the Ribbon Bar, or the Node browser.

A valid PI Event Frames Query Spreadsheet can be obtained by using interactive module or Event Frames workspace node that is not connected to input spreadsheet and has valid parameters specified. Spreadsheet with one row and columns as in example PI Event Frames Query spreadsheet can be provided as input spreadsheet.

Template for PI Event Frames workspace node can accessed using the following path: Home > New > Workspace.

Procedure

  1. Open a Workspace. On PI tab, click PI Event Frames Data.
    PI Event Frames Data node is placed in the workspace.

  2. To open PI Event Frames Data dialog box, double-click the PI Event Frames Data workspace node.

  3. To open configuration screen for PI Event Frames Data, on Specifications tab, click Edit Parameters.

  4. Select a server to connect to PI Server. The list of server connections is predefined or registered on the client machine. Click Connect.
  5. To connect to the PI Server, enter valid user credentials, click OK.
  6. Select the Asset Framework Database from the list of databases available on the respective PI Server.
  7. Enter Event Frame Search criteria supported by Asset Framework SDK.
  8. To save the settings, click OK.
  9. To run the PI Event Frames workspace node, right-click the node and click Run.
    Note: Downstream document of similar structure with PI Asset Query is generated.
