Data Configuration: Query View
Click the New button on the Data Configurations properties page to display the Query options.
- Name
- Enter (or modify) the Name of the query in this field.
- SQL Statement
- Enter (or modify) the SQL Statement directly in this field.
- SQL Wizard
- Click this button to display the Statistica Query dialog box where you can build the SQL statement.
- Evaluate SQL
- Click this button to run the SQL statement to verify proper SQL syntax. If the SQL statement contains incorrect syntax, an error message displays.
- OLE DB Columns
- The name and data type for each column in the query are displayed in the Name and Type sections. These properties are obtained from the database you are connecting to. The Target Name, Target Type, Auto update status, and Sequence property are also listed for each column in the query. The Target Name is the name of the variable created in the Statistica data file for an individual column. The Target Type is the data type to be used for this column in the Statistica Enterprise system. The different target types and their descriptions are available from the OLE DB Columns View dialog box. The Auto update status is used to indicate whether or not a column will be used for the purposes of auto-updating or real-time transferring of data from the external database into Statistica. The Sequence property is used for crosstab queries.
- Edit
- Click this button to display the OLE DB Column View options in the properties page where you can edit the properties of the selected OLE DB Column.
- SQL Evaluation Options
- Click this button to display the Query Options dialog box.
