Data Entry Setup: Constraints
The Constraints options are displayed in the properties page when the Constraints node is selected within a Data Entry Setup in the Enterprise Manager tree view. Constraints are rules that restrict the values that can be entered for the different characteristics and labels in a data entry setup.
The window will list any existing constraints.
- Add
- Click this button to display the Add/Edit Constraint dialog box, which contains options to add a new constraint to the Data Entry Setup.
- Edit
- Select a constraint in the window and click this button to display the Add/Edit Constraint dialog box, where you can edit the name or formula for the selected constraint.
- Delete
- Select a constraint in the window and click this button to delete it.
- Delete All
- Click this button to delete all constraints included in this data entry setup.
- Open
- Click this button to display a standard Open dialog box; browse to and open a *.constraint file.
- Save
- Click this button to save all the constraints listed in the window to a *.constraint file.
- Open from Enterprise
- Click this button to display the Select a general document dialog box, where you can browse to and open a *.constraint file from Enterprise Manager.
- Save to Enterprise
- Select a constraint in the window and click this button to save the constraint to a file in Enterprise Manager.
- Import
- Click this button to import constraints from another data entry setup.
