Analysis Configuration: Date/Time Criteria

The Analysis Configuration Date/time Filtering option is displayed when the Data Configuration on which the current Analysis Configuration is based has a column set to Target Type of Timestamp. Setting a column of Target Type to Timestamp means that it is a column available for filtering the date range of the data on which the analysis will be run, either in the Analysis Configuration setup or by the end user during run-time of this Analysis Configuration.

Retrieve Data for: Select the date range on which the analysis will be run. Note that selections such as Today, This week, This month, This quarter, and This year are relative to the run-time when this Analysis Configuration is executed by an end-user. The Fixed range option is less commonly used because it fixes the date range of data to a specific date range regardless of the current date/time (i.e., "now") at execution.

Note. If the Analysis Configuration is configured to be auto-updating, continuing to fetch new data as they become available in the source database, then the selections on this dialog only define the initial data to be retrieved. The initial data will be augmented with the new data when they become available as the auto-updating polling operation proceeds.
