Statistica Web Data Entry
Statistica Web Data Entry makes it possible for companies to configure data entry scenarios to enable data entry using web browsers and the analysis of these data using all of the graphical data analysis, statistical analysis, and data mining capabilities of the Statistica Enterprise software platform.
Statistica Web Data Entry builds on the configuration objects in Statistica Enterprise:
- Characteristics: Numeric data to be collected for analysis (e.g., pH)
- Labels: Text or date data for traceability (e.g., Lot Number)
- Data Entry Setups: Groups of Characteristics and Labels configured with specific User/Group permissions to collect the appropriate data for particular scenarios
These objects are configured using the Statistica Enterprise Manager application.
Statistica Web Data Entry begins with user authentication, typically integrated with the user’s network user account.
The user selects a Data Entry Setup from the list of available Data Entry Setups for which permissions are granted. The respective data entry form is displayed into which data may be entered. An example is shown below.
Statistica Web Data Entry includes the checking of user-entered data to ensure the values are within reasonable ranges for the respective Characteristic. Statistica Web Data Entry includes a review and approval step to enable second-person verification of user-entered data. Approval steps include automated email notifications communicating the approval status for each data sample.
All Statistica Web Data Entry activities (including changes to configurations, entering new samples, editing samples, and reviews/approvals) are logged in the Statistica Enterprise audit trail log.
Samples of data entered using Statistica Web Data Entry are easily queried and analyzed in the analytics tools provided in Statistica Enterprise.
