Options Dialog - Labeling Tab

Select the Labeling tab of the Options dialog box to access the options described here.

Element Name Description
Labeling of samples and X-axis Use the options under Labeling of samples and X-axis to specify how samples and x-axis values will be labeled.
Use case names or numbers for first case in each sample If this option button is selected, consecutive samples will be labeled with the case names (or numbers) of the first case that "belongs" to each respective sample. So, for example, if you recorded a sample identifier in the case names of the data file and each sample consisted of 5 consecutive observations, STATISTICA would use the case name (sample identifier) for the first observation belonging to each sample to label the respective sample point in the control chart.
Use values (numeric, text, date, etc.) in variable. If this option button is selected, STATISTICA will use the values given in the specified variable to label the respective sample point. Note that the label for the first observation in the sample will be used. When this option is selected, a variable selection dialog will be displayed, where you can specify which variable to use for labeling.
Use consecutive integer values When this option button is selected, STATISTICA will label the sample points with consecutive integer values (e.g., Sample 1, 2, 3, ...).
Labeling points for brushing (balloon-help labels stats); include When brushing a sample point (from the Brushing tab on the respective results dialog), you can choose to display various statistics (for that sample) in a balloon help.

Number of digits and display format for values in charts and dialogs.

Scale axis labels The setting of the options in this box determines (1) how the vertical scales are labeled in X/X-Bar multistream and multivariate charts (R and GV charts are not affected). You can either select a (maximum) No. of digits for the display of the respective values, or you can use the Variable format for the first variable in the respective list of variables that is being plotted.
Values in dialogs and charts Using this option, you can specify the number of digits to use for capability indices (variable control charts only), and on values which are reported in dialogs.
Font size for text in charts Select the Font size for custom text check box and then type the font size in the box or use the microscrolls to adjust font size for custom text (including Causes, Actions, and Comments).
