Sampling Plans Results - Sequential Sampling Plan Tab

Select the Sequential sampling plan tab of the Sampling Plans Results dialog box to access the options described here.

Sampling plan for sample sizes 1 through
Enter the maximum value you want to include of your sample size in the Sampling plan for sample sizes 1 through box or use the accompanying microscrolls to adjust the value.
Plot equivalent sequential sampling plan
Click the Plot equivalent sequential sampling plan button to produce a plot of the upper and/or lower acceptance and rejection lines for a sequential sampling plan. If a variable is specified (see Variable containing data following current plan below), then the values in this variable will be treated as actual samples; in that case, the plot will include a line indicating the cumulative deviations from the H0 mean across successive samples.
Two-tailed and one-tailed tests
If a one-tailed right test was specified, the acceptance and rejection lines for only that test will be included, resulting in an upward-sloping pair of lines. If a one-tailed left test was specified, the acceptance and rejection lines will slope downward.
Blank plots
If no variable is specified to be included in the plot, blank plots will result. These can be printed and later completed by hand by the quality control engineer.
Summary of equivalent sequential sampling plan
Click the Summary of equivalent sequential sampling plan button to create a spreadsheet containing the numbers plotted, including the cumulative deviations from the H0 mean if a variable was specified (see Variable containing data following current plan below). In that case, the last column of the spreadsheet will be labeled Recommended action. When the line of cumulative deviations crosses a line of rejection, this column will contain the message reject; if the line crosses into the region of acceptance, the message will read accept; otherwise the message will read continue.
Variable containing data following current plan
Click the Variable containing data following current plan button to display the standard variable selection dialog box, in which you specify a variable containing the data for the current sequential sampling plan. These values will be used to plot the cumulative sum of deviations from the H0 mean (see Plot equivalent sequential sampling plan above) or to issue the appropriate message in the spreadsheet summarizing the sampling plan (see Summary of equivalent sequential sampling plan above).
