Fitted Functions for Histograms

When creating a 2D Histogram, you can choose to fit an equation to the histogram or smooth the histogram by selecting one of the predefined functions. (The maximum likelihood method is used to estimate the distribution parameters.)

Normal Laplace
Beta Logistic
Exponential Lognormal
Extreme Poisson
Gamma Rayleigh
Geometric Weibull
Weibull Gaussian Kernel
Note: for the Beta distribution, the data are required to be in the valid range of 0<x<1. For the Gamma, Lognormal, Weibull, Extreme, and Rayleigh distributions, the valid range is x>0. If the data fall outside of the valid range, Statistica will give an error message ("Fit not drawn because of invalid range of values") in the title of the graph.
