Workspace Node: Categorized 3D XYZ Plots - Advanced Tab

In the Categorized 3D XYZ Plots workspace node dialog box, select the Advanced tab to display the following options.

Element Name Description
Graph Type Select the type of plot from the Graph Type list on this tab. Click the desired plot link below for a brief description of that type of graph.

Variables Click this button to display a variable selection dialog box, in which you can select the x-, y-, and z-axis variables as well as the grouping variable to be categorized for the graph. The selection made are displayed below the Variables button. Note that the selected grouping variable does not have to be a categorical variable (e.g., contain codes); you can use one of the methods of categorization options in the Intervals group box to categorize a continuous variable. (The grouping variable is not necessary if the categories are defined via the Multiple subsets method.)
Layout Select the type of layout for the graph(s).
Separate Select this option button to produce a Separate plot layout (where each subset of cases is displayed in a separate graph) for the categorized plots.
Overlaid Select this option button to produce an Overlaid plot layout (where all subsets are overlaid in one graph and identified by patterns and colors) for the categorized plots.
Intervals Use the options in this group box to choose a method of categorization of the values in the selected grouping variable. Each of the methods is discussed in the Method of categorization topic.
Fit You can fit one of several equations to the data or use one of the data smoothing procedures in the 3D categorized plot by selecting one of the predefined functions on this list. Note that if a fit option is not available for the selected graph type, the only available option in this list box will be Off.

No of Planes This box is only available if you have selected Spectral Plot as the Graph Type. Use the No of Planes box to specify the number of spectral planes into which the data are segmented (compressed).
Statistics You can include the multiple correlation in the footnote of the graph by selecting the Multiple r(z/xy) check box.
Deviation Use this box (applicable to Deviation and Space plots) to specify a value on the z-axis that determines the level from which deviations are derived; or in the case of Space Plots, this value determines the Z-level of the X-Y plane.

Options / C / W. See Common Options.

OK Click this button to accept all the specifications made in the dialog box and to close it. The results are placed in the Reporting Documents node after running (updating) the project.
