Specify Contrasts / Repeated Measures Factors
Click the Contrasts for LS means button on the GLM, GRM, or ANOVA Results dialog box - Comps tab (or the Specify contrasts for LS means button on the GLM, GRM, or ANOVA More Results dialog box - Planned Comps tab) to display either the Specify Contrasts dialog box or the Repeated Measures Factors dialog box.
If you have selected the Separately for each factor option button in the Enter contrasts separately or together group box and have selected an interaction involving two between effects in the Effect drop-down box, the Specify Contrasts dialog box is displayed. If you have selected the Separately for each factor option button in the Enter contrasts separately or together group box and have selected an interaction involving two within-subjects (repeated measures) effects in the Effect drop-down box, the Repeated Measures Factors dialog box is displayed.
The Specify Contrasts dialog box and the Repeated Measures Factors dialog box are intermediate dialog boxes that simply display the currently specified set(s) of contrast coefficients which are listed under each factor. To change a contrast for an effect in these dialog, first click the desired factor and then enter the respective contrast coefficients in the Enter Contrasts for this Factor dialog box.
Element Name | Description |

GLM, GRM, or ANOVA Results dialog box - Comps tab, disregarding any changes made.
To learn more about the logic and interpretation of contrast analysis refer to the ANOVA/MANOVA module Overview ; examples of how to specify contrasts are also discussed in that module, in the Notes section, for between-group designs as well as repeated measures designs. See also GLM - Index. |
