2-Way ANOVA: Power Calculation Parameters - Quick Tab

Select the Quick tab of the 2-Way ANOVA: Power Calculation Parameters dialog box to access options to establish the basic parameters for analyzing power for the 2-way ANOVA.

Fixed Parameters
The entries in the boxes under Fixed Parameters establish the fixed, or baseline, parameters for subsequent power calculations and graphs. Parameters that are not varied explicitly as the dependent (X-axis) variables in a graphical analysis will be set equal to these values.
N per Group
In the N per Group box, enter N, the sample size in each group.
Alpha
In the Alpha box, enter the type I error rate for the overall F-tests.
No. of Rows.
In the No. of Rows box, enter the number of levels of the row effect in the two-way ANOVA in the analysis.
No. of Columns.
In the No. of Columns box, enter the number of levels of the column effect in the two-way ANOVA in the analysis.
Row RMSSE
In the Row RMSSE box, enter the row effect root mean square standardized effect, or RMSSE as defined by Steiger and Fouladi (1997). You can enter this number directly, or click the Calculate Effects button to display the 2-Way ANOVA Effects Calculation dialog box.
Col. RMSSE.
In the Col. RMSSE box, enter the column effect root mean square standardized effect (RMSSE). You can enter this number directly, or click the Calculate Effects button to display the 2-Way ANOVA Effects Calculation dialog box.
Int. RMSSE.
In the Int. RMSSE box, enter the interaction effect root mean square standardized effect (RMSSE). You can enter this number directly, or click the Calculate Effects button to display the 2-Way ANOVA Effects Calculation dialog box.
Calc. Effects.
Click the Calc. Effects button to display the 2-Way ANOVA Effects Calculation dialog box. This dialog box provides a convenient facility for calculating measures of effect size from group means and the population standard deviation.
